I hope your day is going spectacularly!

Today’s verse is taken from Philippians:

…but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT)

Sometimes, while I’m driving I try this (I definitely, definitely don’t advise it and I do it only for only asecond!):

I look in my rear view mirror and see if I can keep the car going straight by focusing on the lines on the road behind me.

And I’m sure that’s the reason some insurers don’t insure male drivers!

Seriously though:

How long do you think I can keep the car going straight doing this?

How long before my car bumper is introduced to something ahead of me I didn’t see coming?

How often do we walk through our lives focusing on what has happened to us?

How effectively can we “drive” our lives if we’re focusing on our rear view mirror?

Let’s focus on the glorious future God’s promised us through His Son!

God Bless you!

John
